Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I'm a grandmother and animal lover. Born in Maine, I've lived most of my life in Florida where I went to school, married and raised a daughter. Writing has always been a hobby for me and my interests include traveling and naps.

When and why did you start writing books?

Ten is the magic number. I can remember writing short stories on notebook paper before getting a manual typewriter at thirteen. I loved fairytales, Cinderella being my favorite, and the whole concept of the princess finding true love with her prince and living happily ever after.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I always thought of writing as a hobby. It was something that I did for me. Therapy that I didn't realize until years later. For many years I was a closet writer, never sharing my stories. But when my family discovered my dream of being a published author they encouraged me to submit my work to a publisher. I was fifty when my first book was published with Whiskey Creek Press.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

Probably my first book, Cupid's Arrow when it first came out with Whiskey Creek Press. It was on their best sellers list for two consecutive months! When I retained my book rights back I self-published it under the new title, Kiss Me!

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Someone to Love Me. The ebook is free and it's also available in print. The reason it was so challenging is that there are only two characters through most of the book. Not until the very end does a third character enter the story. Also, the plot takes place in the Alaskan wilderness where the hero and heroine are trapped together in a remote cabin for the winter. Can you imagine how difficult it was to write a full-length romance with only two characters in the story?

Who is your favourite author and book?

The Wolf and the Dove by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. To this day they're still at the top. There are a ton of authors out there who I love but narrowing it down to one is impossible.

What book are you reading right now?

Bella Jewel's Cohen of her King's Descendants MC Series.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

There's only one way to answer this question, inspiration comes from anything and everything. A dream. A thought. A situation. A location. All it takes is a tiny snippet of something for me to get an idea and create a story around it.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Besides napping and trying to keep up with all the cat hair? I have four cats. I like watching movies, reading, and that's about it. I like alone time, peace and quiet.

Do you have any new books in the works?

After BULL, book 5 of my Desert Rebels MC Series comes out I'll be starting on Savage.
