Exodus of the Aesir: Book II of the Asatru Saga

Since the destruction of the International Space Station, former NASA astronaut Claire McFadden has been grounded. While recovering from the trauma, she fights her own inner demons and wonders what the future holds for her and the manned space program. When the charismatic visionary behind Event Horizon Aerospace, Richard Stafford, proposes a chance of a lifetime and possible redemption for her, she cautiously accepts his offer to command the first mission to Mars. However, training and leading a diverse crew of would-be colonists poses far greater challenges than she anticipated. From Seattle to Iceland to Mars, the team must face many trials that will test their skills, camaraderie, and dedication. They will need to leave the safety and comforts of Earth behind and make unforeseen sacrifices on a one-way trip to establish the first human extraterrestrial colony. Most of all, they will need someone to intrepidly lead them into the unknown. Claire must rise to the role or risk the mission’s success. Along the way, Claire slowly begins to understand that the mission is just the first small step in a much larger plan laid out by their benefactor. The small team of colonists is the advanced guard of an exodus of settlers to a hopeful, new world founded on ancient traditions. The mission is far more than she bargained for. Now, she must choose her destiny.
