Badges, Beards and Bullets

When the murderer of his parents escapes justice, Mitch Sullivan becomes a lawman in order to make sure that no other criminals get away with their crimes. He also wanted to ensure that nobody else suffers in the way that he did after his parents were killed. Almost eight years later Mitch is a Territorial Marshal and when he arrests a man who is a member of a family of outlaws for a petty crime and then kills the man’s brother who tried to force Mitch to release him, things quickly get out of hand for Mitch. The dead man’s father and head of the criminal family, Jack Brannigan, swears that he’ll get revenge on Mitch for arresting one of his son’s and killing another. Jack knows that Mitch Sullivan frequents the town of Angel City on a regular basis so when Luke Scheffler, Mitch Sullivan’s best friend, overhears that the Brannigan family intend to take over the town and wait for Mitch to return in order to get revenge on him, he has to warn Mitch. Worryingly for Mitch though, is that his sister Megan and his girlfriend Elissa Peterson both live and work in the town. Things go from bad to worse for Mitch when he finds out that Elissa is badly beaten by one of the Brannigans who try to force her to tell them where Mitch is. When Elissa’s father and two of Mitch’s other friends are subsequently killed by the Brannigans, its the final straw for Mitch and now he has to come up with a plan not only to save his sister and girlfriend but to get revenge on the Brannigans for killing his friends. The incentive to get revenge on the Brannigans is intensified when Mitch and his sister Megan Sullivan find out a bit of news that rocks them to the core. “Badges, Beards and Bullets” is a thrilling and riveting read which forces the reader to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. It is a story filled with virtually non-stop adventure, excitement, danger, tragedy and romance and it also examines the relationships not only between friends, but between a brother and a sister too. “Badges, Beards and Bullets” is the latest novel from Stuart McIntyre who has written several other Western stories including the very popular “The Last Wagon Train”.
