Stars and Six-Shooters

A clerical mix-up leaves Yale astronomer Theodore Pembroke wearing a tin star in Moon Creek, a lawless town that's already buried three marshals. Armed with probability charts and an unshakable faith in science, Teddy fights crime like no lawman before — trapping outlaws in contraptions and confusing desperados into surrender with physics lectures. But the corrupt mayor wants the peculiar new marshal gone. With a sharp-eyed deputy, a saloon-keeping doctor, and a laundress who knows every secret in town, Teddy proves a probability formula might just outdraw a six-shooter. A frontier comedy mystery for fans of True Grit and The Sisters Brothers.
