Amelia Hay

A.D. Hay is a passionate bibliophile and can usually be found reading a book, and that book will most likely be a thriller. Amelia’s love of reading stems from her mother bribing her as a small child with a little golden book for good behaviour during grocery shopping. 

At the age of eight, she wrote her first play. She was super secretive about the script and wrote it out by hand in an HB pencil and gave each actor lines to memorise instead of a whole script. So, what happened, you ask? Let’s just say she was a little bossy, okay, maybe, very bossy, and had difficulties managing the talent. Thus, an obsession began. 

Fast-Forward thirty years, Amelia is the author of Missing, which is the first book in the James Lalonde mystery series. Duplicity, which is book two in the James Lalonde mystery series, will be published in the latter half of 2020.

When not absorbed in a gripping page-turner or writing her James Lalonde series, Amelia loves to travel around Europe, drink tea, rosé, and eat pizza. She is obsessed with journalism, art history and is a closet religious thriller fan. Amelia was born in Brisbane, Australia and spent the last nine years living in London, where she lives with her husband, Roland.
