ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Cass once described writing stories as simply another way of playing pretend, and are quite proud to say they've never grown up from that. With the way stories have shaped their world, they're happy to be creating their own stories to share with the world. When not writing, they can often be found jamming to whatever song has currently caught their interest or running through the outdoors with their goldendoodle puppy.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I have always loved the outdoors. Swimming, skiing, skating, hiking, anything that lets me get outside and into nature. I also enjoy playing D&D (and other ttrpgs) with my friends, as another way of telling stories.

When and why did you start writing books?

I've been writing for about as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, I would even get in trouble for writing stories in my notebooks rather than notes. I loved stories for all the make believe worlds they let me imagine and participate in. I never really stopped writing, but it was after college that I finally took the plunge for getting published. The Inkfort Publishing Derby really gave me that push, as it provided the cover and title, all I had to do was write.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Terry Pratchett is easily my favorite author, though it's hard to pick just one of his books as my favorite. The Wee Free Men will forever hold a soft spot in my heart as my introduction to his work as a kid.
