When and why did you start writing books?

I started writing in 2015 as a result of my lifelong interest in World War One.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I decided to write as a way to further my interest in history. It's another way of teaching history.

We Must All Be Ready To Sacrifice is my only book, hence, my favorite.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

See question four.

My favorite book is The Radetzky March, a novel by Joseph Roth.

What book are you reading right now?

Right now I'm reading Rural England, by H. Rider Haggard.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Inspiration comes from numerous sources including my interest in history, people I've known, and the pleasure I derive from historical research.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I am always reading something, we both love to travel, visiting friends and family, working on the farm, and occasionally I enjoy an old movie, preferably a foreign film with subtitles.
