Denise F. McAllister

Lovers of the West can be born in the most unlikely of places. For Denise F. McAllister, her start was in Miami, Florida, surrounded by beaches and the Everglades.

But the marvels of television transported her to stories of the West—such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, The Virginian, and many others—which she fondly recalls watching with her brother every Saturday morning.

After being in the working world for some years, Denise applied her life experience to study for degrees in communications and professional writing. She loved going back to college later in life and hardly ever skipped a class, as opposed to in her younger years. She credits her love of horseback riding and fifteen years of showing in Atlanta, Georgia, to her heartfelt connection of all things Western.

Denise’s faith is important to her, and she loves to write about characters’s journeys as they navigate real-world challenges. She prays that readers will enjoy her books and—more importantly—experience a blessed connection with our Heavenly Father.
