ABOUT THE AUTHOR

USA Today Bestselling author Erin Wright has worked every job under the sun, including library director, barista, teacher, website designer, and ranch hand helping brand cattle, before settling into the career she’s always dreamed about: Author. She still loves coffee, doesn’t love the smell of cow flesh burning, and is currently living out her own love story in a tiny town in rural Idaho.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I am a full-time author and a full-time momma to Hermes the Helpful. (We adopted him as a semi-feral kitten but he has since decided that humans are in fact the bomb and loves to sleep snuggled up in my hair). I also buy, makeover, and then sell furniture in my "free time." (Free time! Man, I'm hilarious!)

When and why did you start writing books?

My first book was in elementary school, where as part of the Gifted and Talented program, we wrote stories and created our own books to hand publish these stories. It never occurred to me that you could actually make a living as an author, though, until the indie revolution came along. I found an article online in 2016 about it, and have been immersed in this world ever since.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

Because somehow, someway, I'm getting paid to make up stories! Like, could this even be real?! Seriously doesn't seem legal.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I want to give the standard answer (I love them all!) and that's true, but I do have a story that is a little more near and dear to my heart than the others: Bundle of Love. Only because I had an author crush on the main male character from that book (Adam the vet) for *ages* as he showed up in the first six books of my series, so finally being able to write his story was so much fun.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Strummin' Up Love almost killed me. I pushed super hard to get that book out the door, and didn't write another word for months afterwards because I was so drained. The storyline for that book was incredibly near and dear to my heart, but it still almost broke me to write it.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Julia Quinn! I fell in love with the Bridgertons before it was cool. ;-) I found my first Julia Quinn novel back when I was still married to my first husband (so yeah, a while ago) and immediately devoured everything else ever written by JQ. I do believe I'd buy her grocery list.

What book are you reading right now?

"Another Try Collection" by Faith Hart. It's a boxset of her novellas, and I'm enjoying it!

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Life! I don't know how people DON'T get inspired each and every day just living their lives. It's a constant refrain for me: "This is going to end up in one of my books."

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Petting my dogs and loving on them. If you ask them, I don't do this nearly enough, and they'd probably be right.

Do you have any new books in the works?

I do! My next book is "Thankful for Love" which will kick off my new Servicemen of Long Valley Romance series. Let's see how long it takes me to write this one...
