ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Originally from Rwanda, I came to the UK at the age of 6. My family have always had a love of different cultures and so instilled in me a deep interest in people and travel. I graduated from City University with a 2:1 in Psychology & Sociology.

For my career I've always worked in the digital field, fascinated by technology and how its evolution has changed the way we communicate, learn and live. The democratisation of communication has fundamentally altered society. For me, self-publishing is a natural extension of this. I hope that my books provide a rich and varied experience for my readers as I merge different cultures and genres together.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

Reading provides such a wonderful escape as well as broadening the mind. I enjoy reading many genres when I have the time. London UK provides so many rich experiences in music, culture and cuisine. I feel it's important to expose yourself to many different experiences and so when I'm not at home with my cat, I'm out exploring or sitting in a cafe reading and watching the world go by.

When and why did you start writing books?

I've always enjoyed writing from the moment I could read. I see it as very therapeutic but it was only with this book- Vampire Emily that I decided to take it seriously.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

It had always been a dream, one that I had always been too scared to pursue but with the madness of the last few years, I decided that life was too short to not follow my dream!

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

Emily by far - the main character. I love how complex but also how real all her emotions are as she navigates the world she is forced to inhabit when she becomes a vampire.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Vampire Emily. The others had been under pen names and given for free. This one was more than a hobby and so I had to get it as perfect as I could. I had to learn so much from my editor in terms of how to actually structure the book as well as write in a different tense. Previously everything I'd done before had been in the first person.

Who is your favourite author and book?

There are too many to mention!

What book are you reading right now?

The Time Travellers Wife. I've read it a few times as I find it such a beautiful story

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Life, people, experiences, dreams or desires. I wrote Vampire Emily because I didn't find what I was looking for in terms of character development and the whole vampire narrative.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Outside of writing, spending time with friends and family. I find happiness in great food, wine and even better company.

Do you have any new books in the works?

I'm working on the sequel to Vampire Emily as well as a non-fiction novella.
