ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I have been writing for nearly 40 years. I love visiting schools and chatting with students. 

I have travelled all over the globe, and it's been a blast. 


Reading and books are as essential as breathing, and books should never ever be banned. After all, the more we read the more we understand. 

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I have been a writer for over 40 years. Freelance journalism, children, and YA books.

When and why did you start writing books?

1989, I have always loved to write, ever since my first poem at the age of 9.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

Just for the love of writing.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

Jodie has been a firm favorite, from Jodie and the Library card, and now Selli from my latest book, whispers of the gone.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

It was the only adult Book I had written, called nemesis, touching on a subject that was a difficult one.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Charles Dickens is a firm favorite. A Christmas carol is the book I read every year...

What book are you reading right now?

What ever happened to Margo, by Margo Durrel.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

From everyone and every day...

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I read and am a soprano in a gospel choir.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Just finished one, and it's been out a few days.
