Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I've lived in Alabama my entire life. I'm married with two young kids and have been writing most of my life. My degree is in journalism and communications. In addition to writing, I'm also a graphic designer. When I'm not writing, I'm doing something with my family—usually taking kids to and from practices, games, and performances. We're also really active in our church. When I had time to have hobbies in my BC era (Before Children), I enjoyed working out, watching movies and reading more. I still try and make time for those as much as possible.

When and why did you start writing books?

I started finishing books a few years ago. I've started writing a book many times before in the past but either got disinterested in my story or too busy with life.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I've always wanted to write books. I have all these story ideas and characters floating around my head.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

Christmas in Dixie is pretty special. I like quirky characters like Aunt Misty and Bradley.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

The hardest to write is one that isn't published, so I won't name it. That's because it was the first I finished and I learned a lot from it.

Who is your favourite author and book?

I have a lot of favorite authors but mainly read sweet romance and non-fiction. My favorite book changes as I read more. It seems unfair to pick just one author or book.

What book are you reading right now?

Kiss the Girl by Melanie Jacobson

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

everyday life

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Spending time outdoors with my family, working out, planting flowers, reading and watching movies

Do you have any new books in the works?

Yes, I'm currently writing Book 4 in the Bama Boys series
