Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I am an African American female author with anxiety, depression, and cerebral palsy. I am attempting to be a polyglot while being a spiritualist with an interest in philosophy and psychology.

When and why did you start writing books?

I started writing books as a hobby around age 10 although I knew I loved writing at age 5. I realized I wanted to write as an author at about age 14. I write for the underdogs to be heard maybe for the first time ever in their lives. I also write to show that being yourself, fighting for what you want, and having a little bit of hope and/ or faith in something or someone is the key to living your best life.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

. I think of writing as my personal, self paces version of free therapy. I have experienced a lot of drama and craziness in my life, and writing was a way for me to express that creatively. I thought maybe others would relate somehow and it hasn't failed me yet to think that way. Despite not knowing what I'm doing because I'm a newly self-published author I thought if I could combine my need and want for connection and love for writing together I would be satisfied with that as a career.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I love Genevieve Violet Reins to death from "The Bloody Water Bridge Short Story Series" and the updated version, The Dark Night Of The Soul Short Story Series. She is a mirror reflection of how complex, vulnerable, faithful, brave, and loyal I can be. Seeing her grow in every way from the original drafts to where we are now is mind-blogging to me!

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

"The Bloody Water Bridge Short Story Series" and the updated version, The Dark Night Of The Soul Short Story Series" were the hardest to write. I want to be seen as a mature author while also being playful. It came to a point for me to decide if I wanted to release these stories because of how close it was to my heart. Hopefully, I did the concept and stories some justice but the unknown of how it may be criticized can be just as scary for me as when I was writing it.

Who is your favourite author and book?

My favorite authors are Anne Rice or Nicholas Sparks. My favorite books are "Interview With A Vampire" and "The Rescue"

What book are you reading right now?

I'm reading textbooks and researching for my college courses and their assignments.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

I love mixing the occult, psychology, philosophy, logic, and realism into my stories because of how they can intertwine despite being so different. They create these complex character ARCs, settings, and plots that I can't get enough of.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love listening to music, doing yoga now and then. I love taking naps, meditating, and watching Hulu when I have time to relax.

Do you have any new books in the works?

They are suspenseful and thrilling while others are romantic and lighthearted. I can't wait to release them and see what you think.
