ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I am a survivor of horrific, grievous bodily harm and child abuse.

I became an author as a result of writing therapy.
I am married with six wonderful grown up children, who along with my husband and therapist encouraged me to rewrite my story.

I don’t write about the abuse and trauma anymore but I now write picture books for children.
Hopefully my books will build and empower children, especially those that have gone through trauma and abuse.
When these stories are read, my hope and desire is for them to be able to build resilience in children so that they will thrive in the world, no matter where they are..

When and why did you start writing books?

I started writing in 1990 as part of my therapy. The book did not get published until 2008. It is believed that getting the rot out of one's system can help with recovery and healing.
