ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lynne Widdison is a mother, writer, dreamer and author of several books for children and young adults, including A Fair(l)y Unexpected Adventure.

Always an avid reader, it was winning a writing contest as a child, that stirred a lifelong love of writing for Lynne. As an adult she channelled that passion into creating children’s fiction, inspired by the antics of her own children, niece and nephews.

When she’s not writing, Lynne enjoys hiking with her friends and her dog, searching Boston’s North End for the perfect fettuccine alfredo or exploring art museums with her son and daughter. Lynne and her mother, Jan, often lamented not visiting the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, prior to its infamous break-in. This regret inspired her most recent tale involving fairies, family, and a famous museum heist.

Lynne grew up in Worcester, MA, with her big Italian family. She now lives in “America’s Hometown” of Plymouth, MA with her husband, and rescue dog Rosie.
