Liberto Orrego is my pen name. I am a Chilean Elementary School teacher. I have always enjoyed reading and started writing about ten years ago. I studied English Language and Literature, Catholic Religion, and Counseling, specializing in Individual, Family, and Education. When I was doing my postgraduate studies, a philosophy professor told the group that the story of every person in the world was more important than any science book or galaxies. I had always somehow been ashamed of my story life, or at least considered it unimportant. Still, this professor changed us all, and I started writing as a tribute to my family upbringing and to this professor who helped me see life by wearing valuable glasses. I have written about 16 short stories about those people who marked my infancy in a valuable way, just with their actions or simple words: grandparents, uncles, aunts, teachers, friends, cousins, and siblings. I compiled all my family stories in two books: one in Spanish and one in English. The English title includes images, while the Spanish version does not yet. The book is titled"The Ongoing Melody of My Family Saga." It highlights the resilience, hard work, effort, and perseverance of the people who raised me. Some are still by my side, and others have left this world because my memory takes me back to when I was seven. I revisited the family's cherished memories and real-life events, glancing at the excellent side of the coin because every life and every family lives joyfully and harshly in an endless way, and it depends on us to make the best out of our experiences. Each chapter in my storybook is told throuchild'sild's eyes. It may be naive, but a genuine glance offers a unique and idyllic retrospectiolife's complexities.
