ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I was born in Mexico City a few years back when the internet wasn’t a thing and we listened to music on FM radio. My parents decided to move to Toluca, the capital of the State of Mexico, which was a less crowded. It was a small town at the time, only between 1 to 2 million people! I became an architect and worked for years on my career. Eventually I ventured to the northern end of the American continent and settled down in the Midwest, where nowadays I enjoy the brief summer and crazy winter of Minnesota. As for writing? Well, I started to write my first novel when I was in high school. This manuscript developed and became a fantasy trilogy that you can find as Saber. I wrote many short stories, both Spanish and English, along with several manuscripts that maybe one day will see the light of day. Besides reading, I love painting, although I doubt my talent is worth sharing. I enjoy music, especially loud and although I complain about bugs, I enjoy hiking and exploring the great outdoors... or cities (must be the architect in me).

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

Besides writing, I love painting and sometimes sewing. Lately, I have been working in remodeling my house, not all DIY projects are a success but I have destroyed nothing yet.

When and why did you start writing books?

Many, many years ago and it is all because when I read something I don't like the ending, so I created optional stories in my head.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I can't imagine a better way to survive the crazy world we live in.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

This is difficult. I like most of them, but probably Chris Riddley. So far we got on a great adventure together.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Saber Wisdom and Justice. Ending a trilogy it's a difficult job.

Who is your favourite author and book?

I like many authors, but I think Wilbur Smith has a special place since he is the one who introduced me to love reading. As for a book...The Universe in a Nutshell, by Stephen Hawkins, it really opened my mind to a better and bigger universe.

What book are you reading right now?

The Ballad of Black Tom, by Victor Lavalle, and Writer's Guide to Character Traits, by Linda N. Edelstein (researchOther for a new series).

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

I'm not sure...sometimes I read a quote or watch something and a whole idea came to mind!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family. Baking, watching a movie, walking, etc. Nothing fancy.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Yes! I'm working in a Sci Fi series in a world set in two realms and divide by an energy barrier.
