Patricia Monserrate

Patricia Monserrate was born in 1953 in Oakland, California. Growing up, she experienced a dreadful incident. Concealing her embarrassment, and shamefulness, she kept it a dark secret. She was drawn to stories about women’s life struggles and romance. For three decades, as a skilled evangelist and executive, Patricia worked diligently in community outreach programs, volunteered in women’s shelters, participated in and led seminars and conferences and had many speaking engagements locally and nationally, encouraging women. She considers her faith and family to be most important to her. She now lives in Arlington, Texas, with her husband, two grown daughters, and two cats. Blueprints of Shades is Patricia Monserrate’s first book about a young woman with a dark secret.
