My name is Rick and I am the author of Saturn’s Light Voice from the past. This is the first novel I’ve ever written.  I was born in the Eastend of London and lived a quarter of my life there. I did not do very well at school socially or academically. I graduated without any formal qualifications. My parents were hardworking and did their best to bring up myself and my older brother. At the time of my school days dyslexia, autism, and ADHD were barely on the radar and I was classed as a slow learner. While other students adapted to school life, I always knew I was different. 

When my school days finished, I drifted from job to job not realizing what I wanted to do or me. I achieved some qualifications later in my life. Luckily, I gained employment at one of London’s biggest hospitals where I met my wife, to whom I’ve been married for 30yrs and we’ve one son who is nearly 18yrs of age. For the past twenty years, I now reside in my wife’s home country of Ireland. We also have one dog called Mani and six cats. They keep the pests away from the house. When at school, I always knew I could write poetry. But letters and words always got mixed up and my handwriting was unreadable. A few years ago, I went to a local creative writing group, where I wrote poetry and others would read out their short stories. So, I decided to write Saturn’s Light Voices From the Past with the help of my wife and a dear friend who is mentioned in the credits of my novel.
