ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sabine Ruh House is a poet, medical researcher, and forever student. She is passionate about animals, books, medicine, gardening, and advocacy. She grew up reading J.K Rowling, Enid Blyton, and Susan Coolidge. As she grew older she was influenced by Arundhati Roy's God of Small Things, Lulu Miller's Why Fish Don't Exist, and Barbara Natterson-Horowitz's Zoobiquity, to name a few. She lives with her brilliant husband in Chicago, in a condo teeming with plants. She grew up with a dog, a Tibetian Lhasa apso, but someday she hopes to adopt two cats she can call Hedwig and Fawkes.
