ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tammy Burke, a former officer of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group (GLVWG) from 2009 to 2013 (and still a member), served as both president and as chair for a record sold-out “Write Stuff” conference with pre-con workshops and book fair.

She is currently working with David Farland’s Apex-Writers as an admin, where she schedules industry leaders and up-and-comings on Apex’s multi-Zoom week schedule, along with providing content for social posts, blog posts and more. Tammy presents authoring topics for various writing groups and hosts several writer-focused Zooms, including Apex’s weekly Strategy, Mindcraft & Wings, and Midweekers calls, and others.

Her published works include hundreds of newspaper articles and blog posts; Whirl of the Fae: Myths, Legends and Secrets, a collection of short stories; A Firefly’s Conscious and the Pyschopath in the MurderBugs anthology; and Heart of the Worlds Book 1: Faeries Don't Lie. The second book in the series, FAERIES DON'T FORGIVE is slated to come out early 2025.

When not writing or wearing other hats, she can sometimes be found with a sword and a dagger in her hands for medieval-style fencing tournaments and melees, something she’s been doing since 2010. Or she may be spotted being happily lost in a museum, library, or ancient ruins.
