Those other changes might’ve chipped away at some of her comfortable identity, but they don’t compare with the most recent sacrifice. This release tore away a piece of her soul, eradicating Hannah’s most natural connection with the Holy Spirit, which neither her fiancé nor her mother seem to grasp.
