Shorts, Vol. 1

The first volume in a series of fictional short stories is based upon my real-life experiences, those of someone I know, a stranger, or something that didn't happen but could have happened. The first edition of my series celebrates beauty in ordinary events. A card game between high school buddies that teaches a young man the value of making a lasting memory, a bear with a message from the beyond for the person who hits it accidentally, a small-town beef that humbles both sides in the end, a dream within a mid-life crisis that turns into a new direction for a failed musician, a misstep in the wrong neighborhood for young tourists that shows them how lucky they are, a misfit musician who learns that the pilgrimage is more valuable than the shrine visited, and more.
