Part two of the Goddess Series continues in the realm of Helheim, where Hel, the Queen of the Underworld reigns supreme. Cursed to rule over the dead as she withers and rots away, Hellia seeks revenge from the All Father; the God responsible for her banishment from the Aesir and Realm of Asgard.

Embittered by her circumstances, she decides to capture a mortal Viking to lead The Army of Dead, and help take down Odin. But she needs someone special. A man capable of reigning in not just the monsters that roam Hel and the lower realms, but also her own ugliness within.

Harrow Winter, a fierce Viking fleet commander, First in Command under Jarl Hjort, was raised to be a fearsome fighter—granted a name capable of bringing his enemies to their knees. But he is quite the opposite. Intent on bringing peace and order to Midgard despite the constant wars, he finds himself in the battlefield, facing imminent death. But instead of a Valkyrie to welcome him into the halls of Valhalla, it is an angel of death that awaits.

Falling in love with the fiery Viking was not a part of Hel’s plans. And when those plans are further disrupted by her great-uncle, brother to her mortal enemy, she has no other choice but to join a band of misfits in the hopes of finding her wayward brothers and raising an army to topple the biggest monster of all.
