After over a decade of endless searching, of terrible experiments and dangerous travails, Eilai may finally have found an answer to his dark fate. And yet, the challenges he must face only seem to be increasing. With new powers and new knowledge, he must forge on ahead dauntlessly if he ever wishes to become something more than the hopeless case his Family had always believed him to be.

His new friend Yao is hiding secrets, Eilai knows that well, but he is the only one who is able—the only one who is willing— to help. Eilai must make a choice, one which will have far reaching consequences, far past the nature of his dark fate, delving into even the yawning maw of the Red Night. Yet it may be the only choice he can make, if he wishes to reach an answer.

Hidden dangers sprawl before him in every direction, tangled webs of mysteries that he must unravel is he wishes to find an answer—but he will do whatever it takes, whatever he must, to escape the nothingness forever.
