In a remote section of Hoppelsigh Castle, Valentine and her friends, ageless and forgotten, are surrounded by abandoned magic and hidden dangers. When the enigmatic Queen unexpectedly arrives to reclaim what she believes is hers, Valentine’s friends are whisked away, with the sour promise that “they shall know no companion but agony”. The Queen, however, extends a brittle shard of hope. If Valentine can brave the unpredictable environs of Hoppelsigh and humble herself in the throne room, her friends will be returned unharmed. The castle is a twisted landscape of enchantments and traps, that none have ever traversed. With only her unwavering spirit, her friends’ unshakeable faith, and her magic piccolo, Valentine must overcome the castle’s perils to save those she loves.
