A missing child and a body found in a box - are they linked? 1890 sees a new year begin for Mallory Wynter, a young widow, but it’s not the start she planned. Faced with eviction from her marital home by her father-in-law, she takes refuge with her twin brother, an experienced investigator. After being approached by a member of the Aristocracy to investigate a missing child, her brother encourages her to help in the investigation - could the child be the mysterious girl in a box that’s being reported in the newspapers?
