Passion meets action in this brand new fantasy romance. Perfect for fans of Pirates of the Caribbean who wished for LGBTQ+ representation. Book 2, Duty & Monsters, out now!

Winifred, Princess of Venitia, finds her way onto a ship in the dead of night. She refused to sink into the life she was trained for. Sold into a loveless marriage in return for greater warfare.

Captain Grace Peregrine must decide what to do when she figures out who her stowaway is. With the three kingdoms searching for her princess, she runs to the only safe harbour left open to pirates.

Together, they overcome societal differences and bond closer than either thought possible. Now, they must face a rising threat to both the kingdoms and the pirate community.

(Trigger warning: this story includes a scene depicting attempted sexual assault and a forced marriage subplot.)

Running past buildings she have never paid much attention to before, past shops just closing after a day of trading. Keeping her face covered so as not to be recognised by anyone peeking out their windows. She was alone for the first time in her boring life, and she loved it.

The full moon was quickly rising high in the sky above Winifred as she ran through the town, pausing at the end of a street to get her breath back. Her upbringing hadn't lent itself to fitness. She felt a stabbing at her side, punishment for her sudden sprint through town.

Winifred heard doors locking behind her and casements pulled closed to keep the chilling air from coming in from the harbour below. She had run this far, but she didn't know what to do next. She had nowhere to go, nowhere to hide, no one to help. Had she made a mistake?
