Destiny's Cannonball: A Coming of Age Story of Biblical Proportion

Michael Fireworker is confused, obsessed, in love, and losing hold of everything he was taught to believe. He meets a girl. And then another one. And a wise old man who challenges him to put on his big-boy pants and face the world. What begins as an argument becomes a wager. What begins as a wager becomes the fragile thread holding a life together. Walking the fault line between the sublime and the profane — from the sacred study hall to the streets of Brooklyn to a truck stop in Wyoming — Michael asks the questions which stir in the unquiet depths of all our hearts, and begs us to answer them for him. This is a book for anyone who has ever been in love--or been in love with being in love--or cannot forget their first love, but kind of wants to. And for anyone who has ever looked up to the vault of heaven and wondered what lay beyond. For readers of The Chosen, The Catcher in the Rye, and Unorthodox.
