NOT MY BURDEN

The protagonist, Carson Lee, is a middle-aged executive based in the fictional island city of Andora. Besieged with economic uncertainty in his homeland and confronting a possible midlife crisis, Carson decided to accept a job offer up North,in the fictional country of Trenburu - partly to escape the increasingly stifling environment at home.

Carson decided to take a slow, meandering drive up North to enjoy his last moments of freedom before starting his 9-to-5 grind again. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for him to relax and unwind but the seemingly ordinary road trip up to his new workplace transformed Carson's life forever as he is beset with a series of unfolding dramas and disasters.

On this momentous trip, Carson encountered romance, murder, career setbacks and even survived a natural disaster - all in a matter of two weeks. Just like the winding roads that Carson drove on, this poignant novel is filled with mind-blowing twists and turns unravelling in every chapter that will captivate readers and keep them riveted until the very end.
