Author Michel Franklin Varro, Jr. has led a multifaceted life as a retired Methodist pastor, prison and hospice chaplain, missionary, teacher, counselor, and musician. He pursued a career in music education, teaching at various levels in multiple locations.

Later, he transitioned into pastoral roles, founding community music ensembles. Following spiritual struggles and renewal, he completed theological and counseling degrees at the Houston Graduate School of Theology, eventually working as a counselor at the Samaritan Counseling Center in Houston.

He established Varro Counseling, devoting the next twenty-two years to pastoral counseling, freelance music, prison ministries, and retreat programs. Throughout this journey, he served as an ordained minister in various denominations, culminating in the Global Methodist Church.
