Some runs pay better than others... Especially when there are pirates involved.

After almost losing his Shipmaster’s licenses, Captain Ethan Walker takes on three new crewmembers and the first job that will get him back into space. En route, he realizes that the supplies and passengers they’re carrying make his ship a prime target for pirates.

Things get worse when they make a one hundred light-year detour to pick up an archaeologist who is supposed to tell them their actual destination, only to find that someone has kidnapped her.

While waiting for new instructions from the person who hired them, Walker receives a warning from FleetCom that Captain Kendrick Jetaar will stop at nothing to capture their cargo.

Captain Walker must somehow evade the ruthless pirate lord to keep his crew from becoming casualties in a war he didn’t know existed. With what they’re carrying, he has no option but to complete the run, regardless of the danger.

Fortunately, the load pays exceptionally well, if he can survive long enough to collect.
