The first book in the “Fog” series follows Cassidy and her siblings while they try to adjust to a new life after being taken from their mother and placed in a foster home. Cassidy and her siblings did their best to stay out of the way. Keep quiet and keep their heads down and no one would bother them. Their mother did not seem to care anymore and was gone all the time. School was their safe haven and they all loved it. That is until a call to child protective services changed their lives forever. Separated from their mother, the children soon find out just how negligent she was and how her actions caused them to be very different from other children.
