ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I'm just a person who loves to write and share stories. I hope you enjoy what I have to share! I'd love to hear from you.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I'm a dog and cat mom. Writing is my passion, but when I'm not writing (which is hardly ever) I play the piano by ear, and know a few chords on the ukulele. Arts and crafts are always a fun time when I have a project in mind.

When and why did you start writing books?

When I was 11 years old, I started putting words to paper and writing all sorts of stories about my very first original character. I loved her dearly and still want to write a book about her one day, I just have to find the right time and place for it.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

My love for writing and the feedback from those I surround myself with pushed me to tackle writing as a career and I can't wait to see where it takes me.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

My Tales of Dai-Ne story, spanning 4 or 5 books, is the first book I ever set out to write. I put it aside for the longest time, writing other books first, and now that it's in the developmental editing stage I hope to get it self published soon and out there for people to read. It's about a group of differently abled kids and young adults that have to save the magic world and our world from colliding should the veil between them start to collapse.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Definitely the Tales of Dai-Ne stretching from 2005 to 2024.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Howl's Moving Castle by Dianne Wynne Jones will always have my heart.

What book are you reading right now?

How to Market a Book by Joanne Penn

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Ideas and dreams come to me randomly and I am compelled to expand on them and write them.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Honestly, writing is my down time and my work time. I live and breathe it. Now I just have to get to the published side of the mark and I'll be straddling the fence.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Oh many. I have probably 30 stories I want to write, so I'm always working on something new. My current project that's not in editing, is called Love Triangle Gone Wrong. It's about five people trying to untangle their lives from each other, and end up getting more inextricably tangled than before whilst trying to survive getting attacked by an angry witch.
