Mien: Currents

In ancient Anatolia, where gods walk close to mortals and divine power is never given without a price, Sumey Agha is just trying to survive. Living hand‑to‑mouth in the brutal city of Tarsus, Sumey’s world is shattered by a single night of violence. One that awakens a power far beyond anything a mortal should wield. Grief, fury, and lightning collide, leaving a city in ruins and Sumey marked by the attention of the gods themselves. Hunted by creatures of myth, haunted by her own actions, and bound to a power she does not yet understand, Sumey is forced onto the road with an unlikely ally: a fast‑talking, sharp‑bladed messenger of the gods who knows far more about divine politics than he’s willing to admit. Together, they cross a land where ancient spirits stir, monsters roam freely, and the Olympians are no longer content to watch from afar. As Sumey struggles to master her volatile gift, she must confront a terrifying truth: power does not care whether its bearer is ready. Perfect for fans of myth‑infused fantasy, slow‑burn tension, and emotionally driven New Adult stories, Mien: Currents is a tale of grief, growth, and what happens when a broken girl becomes something the heavens cannot ignore.
