Twelve years before Margaret Willow became the Director of Recreation and Parks, an unexpected trip brought her back to her charming hometown during spring break. Instead of soaking up the sun in Cancun as planned, she found herself caring for her mother, who was in a cast on both her leg and arm after a minor accident.

Margaret expected to juggle caretaking duties and suitcase unpacking—but not a murder investigation. When a body is discovered behind the town's tavern, the crime threatens to shatter the community's peace.
