Travis’ path was similar to most other suburban-raised, middle-class white kids from Milwaukee—that is, until he found himself in Colombia, making his own cocaine with one of Pablo Escobar's former top scientists. After finishing a Master’s Degree at the age of 28, Travis couldn’t bring himself to follow the blueprint laid out for success in the U.S., so he took off to South America. That first flight was the start of an adventure around the world—an adventure that his friends didn’t understand and of which his father openly disapproved.

Over four years and four continents, Travis chased a different version of success and sought a greater purpose; the world felt as though it had cracked open to new opportunities, new characters, and new adventures. Travis's book 'Not That Anyone Asked' gives the reader an inside look into Travis's soul as he takes on hilarious and heartwarming adventures across the globe. His writing evokes a combination of Anthony Bourdain and Hunter S. Thompson - the kind of 'no holds barred' writing that makes you reevaluate your current principles in life and wonder why you haven't taken on more adventures yourself. I found myself unable to put the book down and finished reading it in 24 hours.
One of my favorite books so relatable for anyone who has been traveling anywhere. An easy read but very hard to put down. Absolutely hilarious stories and just makes me want to get out and see the world more.
It’s not easy to open yourself in a book as Travis did, you can and will be judged by old friends, family..., and that’s what makes this book even more special, as you can see a guy that found himself traveling and now are able to show everything (literally everything) to inspire you to live your life as you want and deserve no matters what! And let me tell you one more thing: tra lalalallala!

I absolutely loved reading this book and would 10/10 recommend!!! As an avid solo adventure traveler, I read this book with a giant smile from front to back. Travis touches on so many of the best parts of travel throughout the memoir, but for me, it was meeting the characters that made his adventures so special that I enjoyed the most!
