The ‘Not Quite Eden’ series follows the pair over the most formative seven years of their life, charting their entry into the fast and furious competitive world of Formula Two Stock Car racing, Eve’s attempts to help her Muslim friend Nasim to avoid honour-based violence and forced marriage, the highs of true love, the disappointments and tragedies of broken relationships and bereavements, the psychological damage that comes with intimate image abuse, and the difficulties faced by a female trying to forge a career in the male-dominated professions of mechanics and engineering. Along the way, Eve decides that she’s not going to put up with any more abuse of women and decides to stand up to be counted when she realises that a child sexual exploitation ring is operating in her home town and determines to go undercover to bring down the vicious grooming-gang – with devastating consequences to her and all those around her.
