After her mother receives a terminal cancer diagnosis, a chance encounter leads to Holly crossing paths with Jake. Two years her senior, the charismatic and sharp-tongued Jake is also no stranger to hospitals. Having received his own terminal brain cancer diagnosis as a teen, Jake had spent half his life trying to defeat an invisible enemy too.

With time running out and their new found friendship tested in so many ways, Jake hatches a plan he believes will benefit them both.
