Alvin Hayes

Alvin Hayes wrote three African American Historical Fiction novellas that blend overlooked African American history with fascinating relatable, intelligent, and fiercely intense characters. The novellas are dazzlingly different, looking at behind the scenes of the whileBlack experience from generation to generation beginning on a Mississippi plantation in the 1850s’ He promises heroes and heroines to cheer for and villains to root against. Stories that share a common theme, and a few laughs along the way. John Clarke said, ”History is like a compass. Tells you where you are, who you are, where you have been, and where you are going.” He’s a native New Englander who received his BS from Tennessee State University and is a Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Life Member. He retired after a career in sales management. What began as more of a “hobby” has evolved into a love affair with writing amazing unique stories about the while-black experience.
