ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hello! I love journaling, and I have a blog all about it, called Why We Journal. I also create guided journals because they can be super cool, if we let them. Sign up for my newsletter for monthly journal prompts, blog updates, and publishing news. If you're on Pinterest, follow me on Why We Journal account.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I love reading, spending time outside with my family, and finding new and interesting food or recipes to try.

When and why did you start writing books?

I've been writing since my tweens. Writing was a creative outlet, a listening ear, a positive use of my time, and way to keep learning.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I started seriously writing after my daughter was born to reflect my belief that dreams are worth pursing.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I only have one book out right now which is called Reframe the Sabotage: A Transformation Journal. I am immensely proud that this was my first published work to tackle. It's about cognitive behavioral terminology and how to use it to change our internal negative thinking. It doesn't replace therapy, but I created it with a sincere desire to help others.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

I've only got one guided journal under my belt, but I also blog, a website called Why We Journal. My longest post called How To Journal, was almost like a dissertation. Trying to make it interesting and fun to read was a challenge, but worthwhile. I also do a newsletter, and I'm constantly fine tuning my offerings to my readers and subscribers.

Who is your favourite author and book?

I love Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel Legacy

What book are you reading right now?

A Game of Gods by Scarlett St. Clair

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

My own journaling is often my inspiration to create for others

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Sleeping!

Do you have any new books in the works?

I have list of about 30 possible journals!
