ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I've been writing for over 40+ years. I started when I was nine years old and never stopped. I was self-taught by expanding my reading to many different genres.

I use some of my life experience to help mold my characters and their interactions with their supporting cast.

I was always into dark stories and having my character use their wits to get out of a situation. My character's struggles are my main joy.

I write gay male characters but I do have straight supporting characters. I was sixteen when I read my first gay novel which ended very tragically and I thought it was cruel to say that two men to be in love will always end in sadness and or death.  I hated that and decided to write the storied I want to read about men in love in committed relationships.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

Out of all my interests, writing takes the top spot as my true passion. Whether it's working on my novels or developing a new storyline, the process of creating something from scratch is incredibly fulfilling. Apart from writing, I have a few hobbies that I enjoy. I love immersing myself in a good book, building intricate 3D puzzles, and getting into the festive spirit by decorating for my two favorite holidays, Christmas and Halloween.

When and why did you start writing books?

I began my writing journey at the age of eight, almost nine. I crafted a time travel narrative that revolved around two close male friends who fell in love. The spark that ignited my writing passion was my immense imagination, brimming with a multitude of stories. As a child, I would weave extravagant tales for my mother about my daily adventures, but eventually, she discovered my fibs and encouraged me to jot them down on paper instead.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I'm getting older and felt the sting of rejections by publishers so I decided to self-publish so I can leave a legacy to my children.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

My Two Timer Series. I love Adam Potter and Patrick Valdez's relationship journey but to be honest I love all the characters in this series.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

The reason why I wrote "Homecoming," the second book in "The Two Timer Series," was due to its exploration of sensitive issues such as blackmail, rape, and complex family dynamics. Adam, the protagonist, struggles with his relationship with his family, and as someone who grew up in a large family, I could relate to the intricate power dynamics that exist between siblings.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Too many, I can't say just one but the first mystery writer I fell in love with is P. D. James but there are tons more so I'll stop there.

What book are you reading right now?

The Gift of Fear by Gavin De Beck - Non-Fiction

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Movies, Books, my head, watching people.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Writing, of course, hanging out with my children, cleaning my home, and traveling.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Yes, I'm using my characters from my Two Timer Series to write my first D&D book and Werewolf and Vampire book.
