ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A native of Central California who has lived in five states and eight countries, John Etcheverry’s career has spanned the roles of dishwasher, freight broker, claims adjuster, construction contractor, college administrator, American diplomat, and more.


For the past thirty years, he’s been living and working among the diversity of cultures of the former Soviet Union, holding assignments in Ukraine, Russia, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Georgia, as well as Iraq and Kosovo.


Etcheverry has published a number of short stories across various publications and his NEW AMERICANS trilogy (FISHING WITH TOLSTOY, CHICKEN TODAY, FEATHERS TOMORROW, and THERE YOU GO) is available on Amazon. 


Loving nothing more than weaving tales of unlikely friendships, his work often features characters living out the American immigration experience. A proud husband of more than a quarter-century and father of three grown boys, Etcheverry shares his compassion for everyday heroes who disregard convention in pursuit of a better world.
