ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Linda began writing stories when she was 12 years old and has had a passion for writing ever since. She lives in Mount Laguna, California, just east of San Diego, California, with her husband, Michael, and four cats.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I've loved to write my whole life and have written many short stories throughout the years. In 2014 I published my first book, "The Necklace - The Dusky Club, June 1962," a time travel romance with some erotica. I subsequently published 5 more in the series and followed up with 3 more. taking my main characters back over 200 years to Regency England. I have also published a dark romance standalone called "The Harpist." I enjoy cooking, hiking, and gardening. I've been happily married for 53 years. We live in the mountains east of San Diego and have four cats.

When and why did you start writing books?

I wrote and self-published my first book after retiring from the banking and real estate industry. As I've always enjoyed writing, I thought I'd give it a try.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

Writing is more of a hobby for me than a career.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I think book #5 of my Necklace series is my favorite because my two main characters are finally getting their HEA after a lot of challenges and struggles that prove history can't be changed. (The books are time travel.) I can't say that Susan, the main female character, is my favorite, but she is funny and entertaining in a somewhat annoying way.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Actually, books 7, 8, and 9 (Part II) of the Necklace series were the hardest because I had to do a lot of research and verification. They take place in 1815 Regency England.

Who is your favourite author and book?

Currently, my favorite author is Mary Balogh, who writes wonderful Regency-era series books. Each book in her various series is about a member of a family or characters who are related. The books are standalone but are all inter-connected.

What book are you reading right now?

Book #4 of the Westcott series by Mary Balogh. "Someone to Care."

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

They are mostly channeled. My characters write my books; I just have to type.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Walking. I live in a national forest, and there are a lot of beautiful trails. I love to walk with my music and headphones. I also enjoy cooking.

Do you have any new books in the works?

Yes. I have one set up on Amazon right now on pre-order. "The Wishing Jar."
