Nadya Dukhina was born in a small province of Russia and began writing as soon as she learned the alphabet. She was four years old. At the age of 22, she received her master's in journalism and moved to the United States, where she earned her second master's - in marketing. She barely spoke English and had no funds for living. Back then, it seemed she would never be able to write in English as well as she wrote in Russian. Back then, so many things seemed impossible.
Most of her struggle is in the book; the rest was left for later to intrigue and inspire readers.
