ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Nicole Stacy was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, relocating to Central Kentucky when she was in middle school. She lives with her husband and has a wonderful child. She loves video games, music, and pretty much anything geek related. Writing has been her passion since she was young.

Her parents gifted her with a love of books at a young age. She read a lot of R.L Stine and L.J. Smith. Now, some of her favorite authors are Stephen King, Sarah J. Maas, Erik Larson, Jacqueline Carey and Jennifer Weiner.

She blogs, writes in bed, cusses, and is far too sassy for someone her height.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I love to read, play video games (The Fallout series is my favorite, followed by Baldur's Gate 3), and play board games with my family. I'm a big geek, love Marvel and DC comics, and funnily enough - I enjoy cross stitch. :)

When and why did you start writing books?

I've always enjoyed writing, but once I became disabled my husband encouraged me to pick it back up.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

It was a passion from childhood.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

My favorite books of my own? Shew, that would have to be the first - which is getting a re-write now - "Every Friday Night" - Kimber became a big favorite between some readers and myself and she ended up getting her own book!

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Hardest so far to write is one of my current work in progresses, it was intended to be my second book, but I couldn't get myself into it and wrote "Cigarettes and Coffee" instead. It still stretches me, because it is another epic dark fantasy romance that requires yet again, a world-building that includes religious elements.

Who is your favourite author and book?

My favorite authors include Jacqueline Carey and Stephen King - with the original "Kushiel's Dart" series as well as "The Stand" as my respective favorites.

What book are you reading right now?

I'm listening to "Cassiel's Servant" by Jacqueline Carey.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

Other books, games, weird dreams, stories I'd like to read.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Cross stitch, game, read, watch TV and try new recipes with my family.

Do you have any new books in the works?

I'm currently working on several - the final book of "The Chronicles of Cacedera" called "Crowns of Cacedera" as well as a Novella for that series called "Huntress". I'm re-writing "Every Friday Night" from third person to first and updating to reflect my current writing style. I'm working on the other epic dark fantasy series that I've not resolved the title for, AND I'm working on a book in the IWU Series with some fellow author friends called "Clean Finish".
