Benny Goldfarb, a private investigator in Los Angeles, asks Rosa Zuleca, co-owner of a car wash, to go dancing. They have a great time together. The next morning, a stranger, a cartel gangster, arrives at the car wash, demanding that she sign the business over to him. Her brother, Enrique, a cardiologist in Cartagena, Colombia, and co-owner of the car wash, is missing. Rosa calls Benny for help. They face danger from the cartel and from a group of Communist rebels in their search for Enrique in Colombia.
