friend Jhan’s fledgling magical powers, they set out with a small party on a dangerous trek to
reach the fortress, knowingly placing themselves between two overwhelming powers they cannot
hope to resist. They arrive to find a band of priests of Bal, their deadly enemies, intent on the
same mission, and they are forced to enter into an uneasy alliance with these treacherous foes,
since the Gorgorin are enemies of all.

To buy Shannon time, Darius sends forth deceptive warnings that the progeny have been found
in the vaults beneath Jalan’s Drift, deliberately bringing the full power of the Gorgorin horde
down upon him and his city. But the Gorgorin Lords grow in both knowledge and power as they
sweep ever closer, and they will not be deceived – nor distracted – for long.

Paladin's Daughter, first book of The Gorgorin Wars, takes up right at the conclusion of
The Paladin Trilogy and sets the stage as an invincible foe marches inexorably towards dominion
over the world of men, with only a handful of heroes to challenge them. Yet even as that
struggle is joined, there are signs of a still deeper design at work, a design that might overthrow
even the courage and strength of the Paladin and his Daughter.
