Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I love writing, either long-form or blogging. Writing is my happy place. I'm also part of a recording band (meaning we release our digital music, but don't perform live). I found that I have a talent for songwriting (writing again!), and a few of our songs have gained traction on Spotify.

When and why did you start writing books?

I finished my first novel in 2016, and I was so proud of myself! But I had a lot to learn, and each subsequent book has gotten better and better. I'm naturally biased, but my current novel, "Running From Herself", is pretty awesome.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

I love to grow and expand my horizons, and I found writing to be both challenging and satisfying -- the perfect combination.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

I'm partial to Running From Herself and its protagonist, Leah Branch. Of course, I lived with her, so to speak, for so long, she almost became my best friend.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

Definitely Running From Herself. I don't plan my novels or novellas (which is part of the fun), but with this book I had so many ideas that just forming them all into a cohesive story was an interesting challenge.

Who is your favourite author and book?

That's impossible to answer.

What book are you reading right now?

I'm currently reading "From Here to the Great Unknown".

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

From my imagination. Although I did rely on my knowledge of music to write my current novel. Strangely, as a music professional, I'd never written a book about the music business.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I'm probably an online junkie. I sit down with a cup of coffee and browse. I'm also partial to my cat Sasha, and my husband and I enjoy streaming classic TV shows.

Do you have any new books in the works?

I'm contemplating writing a companion book to Running From Herself, featuring one of my colorful supporting characters.
