Tell us a little bit about yourself, your hobbies and interests.

I come from a family of musicians and vocalists.I too am a musician-songwriter with CD's,videos and independent movie credits. Now i am looking to make the move over to story writing and Deacon Cain is my 1st book.

When and why did you start writing books?

At age 60...yes! I wrote a tune called Deacon Cain and the story kept forming in my head unlike anything i had written before.I decided to hold off on writing music and started writing the book.

What made you decide to tackle writing as a career?

Well,i had a career in government.I don't really look at this as a career move, but something i want to do in my retirement yrs.

Which one of your books or characters is your favourite?

As this is the 1st book i have to say the ride i had with cain really got me wanting to write alot more...and maybe re-enter the world of cain again in the future.

Which one of your books was the hardest to write and stretched you the most as a writer?

I think the 1st book teaches one alot about writing stories...how to layout a scene, what the main character does in the story, how the other supporting characters interact with the main character.I really learned alot about the process of writing but can always learn more.

Who is your favourite author and book?

wow! hehe...loved the steven king stories, well written and as far as books...i'm not a normal type reader,i like to see the crossover to movies for me even though sometimes movies do not do justice to the books. One book that i thought made a good crossover to a tv series was his dark materials...i just love that story!

What book are you reading right now?

At the moment i am not reading anything due to a music project.Since i have been on cravebooks i see some books that i would like to read from some of the horror authors here.

Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

From music...it's a story if you think about it...just in sound. There have been some great musical storywriters...johnny cash, red sovine, elton john, etc.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I'm a gamer,even at age 61 :)

Do you have any new books in the works?

I have one i want to start on later in the yr...it's still forming in my head!
